These terms govern your use of the YuCat mobile application (the “app”). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
YuCat helps cat owners evaluate cat-food products. You can photograph a product to identify it, search for products, create profiles for your cats, and receive a product assessment tailored to each cat with the help of artificial intelligence. The app is provided as-is and may change over time.
YuCat is an informational tool, not a veterinary service. Product assessments are generated automatically from product information and the cat details you enter, and are general guidance only — they are not a diagnosis, a feeding prescription, or a substitute for professional advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian about your cat’s diet, health conditions, allergies and nutritional needs before making decisions. You use the app, and any assessment it produces, at your own risk.
Product identification and assessments are produced by a large-language model and automated web search from the photo and information you provide. The output may be incomplete or inaccurate — for example, an ingredient or nutrient value may be misread. Verify important information against the product packaging and the manufacturer before relying on it.

YuCat is offered as a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed through your Apple App Store account and are subject to Apple’s terms. Price, billing period and any introductory or promotional offer are shown in the app before you purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase.
The YuCat name, software and design are owned by us. You keep ownership of the content you upload (cat profiles, photos). By uploading content you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and process it for the purpose of operating the app for you.
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that breach these terms or that put the service or other users at risk. You may stop using the app and ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing yucat.app@gmail.com.
The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of assessments, or non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars (USD 50), whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, including any harm to a cat’s health resulting from reliance on the app.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL with the effective date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app.
