These terms govern your use of the Cut AI mobile application (the “app”). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Cut AI is an AI video editor. You record or import video takes; the app transcribes what was said, proposes an edit — removing silences, retakes and filler — and exports the finished video to your library. The app is provided as-is and may change over time.
Planning an edit happens partly on our server, not only on your phone. When you ask for an edit, the app extracts the audio track from your takes and sends it to our server and to third-party AI services (OpenAI for speech-to-text, Anthropic for edit planning). The video itself never leaves your device. Audio and transcripts are not stored by us beyond producing the edit. By requesting an edit you agree to this processing. Details are in the Privacy Policy. Only record where you are entitled to, and be considerate of other people who may be seen or heard.
You are responsible for the videos you record or import, and for having the right to use them. Finished videos are exported to your own library; what you do with them afterwards is up to you. Always review an edit before sharing it — the app may cut something you wanted to keep.
Transcripts and edit plans are produced by AI models and can be wrong: words may be mis-heard and cuts may be misplaced. Keep your original takes until you are happy with the result.

Edits are subject to a daily fair-use limit per account.
Some or all features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed through your Apple App Store account and are subject to Apple’s terms. Price, billing period and any free trial or introductory offer are shown in the app before you purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase.
The Cut AI name, software and design are owned by us. You keep ownership of the content you provide (your videos, audio and the edits made from them). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to process it solely to operate the app for you.
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that breach these terms or put the service at risk. You can stop using the app at any time and erase your data in the app under Profile → Delete my data, or by emailing cutai.app@gmail.com.
The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of transcripts or edits, or non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars (USD 50), whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, including any loss of video footage.
We may update these terms. The current version is always at this URL with the effective date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app.
